Anyways so this LIGER killed some dude at a zoo.... there is such a thing as TIGONS also.... needless to say this blows my fucking mind and I have a new obsession.
In the extremely little research I have done it appears Ligers are gigantic, known to be very aggressive, do not work well with humans and are extremely dangerous. My new goal is to own at least 7 of these beasts.
FUN FACTS:
Ligers are the offspring of a male lion and female tiger.
Tigons are the opposite.... and aren't as big. Due to the male lion and female tiger having the growth hormones or chromosomes or something....
Here's another interesting tidbit taken from those links....
"While male ligers are sterile, female ligers can usually reproduce. Because only female ligers and tigons are fertile, a liger cannot reproduce with another liger or with a tigon. The offspring from a coupling of a female liger and a male tiger is referred to as a ti-liger, while the offspring produced from a female liger and a male lion is referred to as a li-liger."
Unfortunately the fact that you can't breed tigons and ligers together ruins my plans to takeover the world with a tigoliger cavalry.
Still these things sound like the coolest crap ever. You are welcome for expanding your knowledge by introducing you to these wonderful animals. Ligers and tigons forever!
