NBA draft..... Cavs needs post-Shaq....

Cavs need to re-sign Varejao, sign restricted free agent Charlie Villanueva for the mid-level exemption, sign Matt Barnes for the bi-annual exemption.... trade up/buy another 1st for Sam Young, and draft Patrick Mills at 30.

Just wanted to get that in... as right now the 4th pick of the draft just got in.....

Well same as last year I evidently have no idea where people should go in the draft as Sam Young EASILY dropped to the Cavs at the end of the first and they passed and Patrick Mills was still available far into the 2nd round..... but in my defense I was working on mock drafts and scouting reports that I have read and they all seemed to say the same thing.

As far as WHO the Cavs drafted: the dude in the first was an accounting/attempt to juke the system as they pretty much don't want to guarantee a contract or roster spot to any rookie. Green in the 2nd was a good pick and will fill the role pretty much of what they would have asked of Sam Young at less cost and without a guaranteed deal..... but still I think passing on both Pitt guys, Young and Blair will end up being a mistake by Ferry and Co.
